Grave Dangers (University of Minnesota Press, forthcoming)

Grave Dangers: Poetics and the Ethics of Death in the Anthropocene is a scholarly book project. It argues that Anthropocene studies needs to leave vitalism behind in favor of a more robust and diverse framework for contending with death in order to adequately address the racialized violence and ecological devastation that define the epoch.

The B-Sides of the Golden Record (in progress)

In 1977, NASA sent a record titled The Golden Record on the Voyager probes. It was meant to offer extraterrestrials a glimpse of life on Earth through sounds and images, and for a variety of reasons both intentional and unintentional, it left out quite a lot. This poetry manuscript is about the elisions.
